National Youth Day has been observed in Chitalmari like elsewhere of the country with the theme “Dakho Jubo Samridho Desh, Bangabadhur Bangladesh” (Skilled Youth Prosperous Country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh).
On the occasion, Chitalmari Upazila Administration and Youth Development Department organized a discussion meeting in the Upazila Parisad Auditorium. The organizers disbursed youth loan and distributed certificates among the youth.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saiyada Faizunnesa presided over the function while Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral spoke as the chief guest. Upazila Awami League President Md. Babul Hossain Khan and Women Vice Chairman Sabera Kamal Sapna were the special guests.
Sabina Bulbul, General Secretary of Chitra Youth Welfare Organization also spoke. Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Sohrab Hossain gave a welcome speech at the beginning.
