A training workshop on modern shrimp farming and hatchery management was held on Saturday (March 9, 2024) in Gollamari Fish Farm Auditorium.
The Department of Fisheries in Khulna organized the training and workshop in coordination with the Fishery Products Business Promotion Council, Ministry of Commerce and the Shrimp Hatchery Association of Bangladesh (SHAB).
Khulna District Fisheries Officer Joydev Pal presided over the workshop while Cox’s Bazar-2 Constituency MP Ashek Ullah Rafiq spoke as the chief guest.
Deputy Director of Khulna Divisional Fisheries Department Md. Jahangir Alam was present as the special guest.
Md. Salim Sultan, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer of Fultala Upazila led the workshop.
Palash Kumar Ghosh, Senior Assistant Director, BPC, Ministry of Commerce, Secretary General of Shrimp Shipment Association Md. Najibul Islam, Senior Assistant Director of Fisheries Department Monirul Mamun, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer, Dumuria Md. Abubakar Siddique, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Bapi Kumar Dash among others were present.
Manager of Khulna Sadar and Dumuria Farms were also present at the workshop.
