Two workers were electrocuted in Nakla and Sherpur sader upazila of Sherpur district on Saturday noon and Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Al Amin (20), son of Manar Uddin, village of Narayankhola Baparipara under Charashtadhar union of the Nakla upazila and Maruf Mia (16), son of late Iman Ali, aria of Dhakhal Hati under Sherpur town of the district.
Family and Local’s sources said that on Saturday, Al Amin was seriously injured by electric shock, when he was working to electric line in Hafij Uddins’ house of Narayankhola. Later, locals rescued him and brought to Nakla Hospital. Then the duty doctor Najmus Sakib declared his dead. Doctor said, Al Amin was died before came to the hospital.
Other hand, Maruf was electrocuted with the 11KB electric line at R.B Auto Rice Mill in Dhakhal Hati of Sherpur town. He was dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent to Sherpur sadar hospital for autopsy, said Abdullah Al Mamun OC of Sherpur police station.
FF Golam Rabbani chairman of Charashtadhar union under Nakal upazila and Abdullah Al Mamun OC of Sherpur police station were confirmed the incident.
