Attending a workshop on Saturday, Civil Society members showed red cards to prevent Child Marriage in Ghatail upazila in Tangail district.

The workshop was attended by Civil Society members, Child protection Committee & local Leaders, was organized by World Concern Bangladesh in Sadhuti Nojib Uddin High School under Digholkandhi Union at Ghatail in Tangail.

The event was organized under Breaking Barriers for Children (BBC-2) project for CPC & Civil Society members where local community leaders & local Govt; representatives were present.

Md Rofiqul Islam Head Master of Sadhuti Nojib Uddin High School presided over the program. He said in his speach that “It is the best time to prevent Child marriage & drug, otherwise it will be late. He also said that We should create a save environment for our children’s growth & development.”

Md Wazed Ali Union Porishod member & Secretary of Child protection committee under World Concern Bangladesh was the chief guest in this program.

He said in his speech that “Child marriage is become an epidemic now a days. He also said that everybody should take action to stop early marriage & drug as soon as possible to protect our children’s.

BBC Program Officer Mr. James Sunny Bairagee said that we must come forward from together to prevent child marriage & Drug otherwise it will be late. World Concern Bangladesh staffs, federation, Local community & religious leaders also attended this program.
