Bagerhat Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Chandra Roy (PPM) was officially accorded farewell reception at Chitalmari Thana premises on Monday.
Speaking as the chief guest at the farewell reception, Superintendent of Police and a son of valiant freedom fighter Pankaj Chandra Roy said, “Love your country, the country will love you and protect you.” “Perform your responsibilities with transparency in the implementation of the Prime Minister’s commitment. Wherever I am, I will be forever indebted to the people of Bagerhat,” he added. 
It may be mentioned that Superintendent of Police Pankaj Chandra Roy has spent 10 years in Bagerhat. He joined Bagerhat on July 5, 2010. He said he would soon join the CID Headquarters, Dhaka as a Special Police Super.
Among others, Additional Superintendent of Police Shafin Ahmed, Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral, the outgoing Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Maruful Alam, Upazila Awami League President Babul Hossain Khan, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Sabera Kamal Swapna, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Mamun Hasan and Sadar UP Chairman Sheikh Nizam Uddin also spoke on the farewell occasion.
The meeting was presided over by the Officer in Charge (OC) Mir Shariful Haque.
