Three houses were gutted in a fire that broke out at Khaserhat Bazaar in Chitalmari of Bagerhat. The fire started around 2am on Tuesday (February 16).
Primarily, the locals tried to put out the fire and bring it under control but in vain. Upon receiving the news, members of Tungipara Fire Service came to the spot and brought the fire under control.
At that time, 3 houses of Bikash Baral, Dulal and Phanibhushan of Khaserhat Bazar were burnt in the fire. However, the exact cause of the fire is not known.
After receiving the news, Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Piyush Kanti Roy visited the spot and assured to provide necessary assistance to the victims.
