A plaintiff in land dispute case with his daughter was allegedly killed by the accused, police recovered them from Kistopor Bridge area in Jamalpur’s Sarishabari on Thursday’s morning.
The victims are expatriate Azizul Rahman, 35, son of Jalek Mondol of Bawshi village of Kamrabad Union and Azizul’s daughter Jannat, 4.
Azizul Rahman returned home from abroad two months ago, since then he locked altercation with his trio brothers over land distribution, filed a case on 23 March in this year against his trio brothers, said Mir Rakibul Haq, OC of Sarishabari.
Police arrested them in the case on 23 March night and sent to Jail, he added.
The accused got bill in the case on Wednesday noon from Jamalpur Court and just after returning from Jail, they attacked on victim’s house at night and hacked Azizul with his daughter, said victim’s wife
A day later the bodies were found in Jheni River nearby Kistopor Bridge of Bhatara Union in Sarishabari Upazila.
Police arrested a man and three women for interrogation on the matter, the arrestees are Pir Mohamed–son of late Riaz Uddin, Babu Miah’s wife Morzina, Mohamed Ali’s wife Kajoli Begum, Aminul’s wife Suma Begum, all are from Bawshi village of Kamrabad union, OC said.
A case will be filed soon and bodies will be sent to morgue for autopsy, OC added.
