A free blood grouping program was held to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily at Kachari Mor of Nakla town under Nakla municipality in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Saturday.
Besides that an awareness meeting was held where leaflets and masks were distributed among the people came for blood group identification.
The program was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary (29 May) Abdullah Al-Amin acting president of Raktasainik Bangladesh Nakla upazila unit.
More than 300 people of different professions and different ages of the upazila were free blood groups. In addition, free leaflets and masks have been distributed among the people to prevent coronavirus (Covid-19) infection during the campaign.
‘If humanity smiles on Art’s face, then his best servant is every blood donor; Donate blood if you are healthy, reduce the risk of heart attack; Come forward for the welfare of humanity in blood donation- keeping in mind all the awareness slogans, the volunteers of the organization organized an awareness meeting to determine the free blood group and motivate the people to donate blood.
Md Fazle Rabbi Rajon president of Raktasainik Nakla presided over the program; where Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Joint secretary of upazila AL and municipal mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton, Assistant Commissioner (AC Land) and Executive Magistrate Kawsar Ahammad, president of Raktasainik Bangladesh, prominent social worker human rights activist, Sherpur Mother Teresa famous Razia Samad Dalia, founder of Raktasainik Bangladesh Al Amin Raju, advisory council member of Raktasainik Sherpur Tahmina Jolly were present as special guest.
Lab assistant Aminul Islam, founder president of Rakter Futay Manobota Asif Alam Chamak, coordinator of Raktasainik Gazipur Sohail Rana, coordinator of Raktasainik Jhenaigati Judge Mia, president of Raktasainik Shribardi Md Sajid Hasan Shant, director of Active Blood Point Adib and founder president Asif were assisted of blood group diagnosis.
Among others, general secretary of Raktasainik Nakla Mokib Hosen Mamun, joint GS Moksedul Momin, organizing secretary Nur Hossain and Asaduzzaman Sowrav, information-technology secretary Kamrul Hasan Rifat, Device Helpers of Bangladesh Nakla Upazila unit president Touhidul Islam Tuhin and leaders of Blood Bank of Nakla, Chandrakona Blood Donation and Social Welfare Society and many others voluntary organizations of the upazila, journalists of different media and well-wishers were present.
It is to be noted that, the crest was given as a gift to Abdullah Al-Amin, the acting president of Raktasainik Nakla, at the end of the blood group diagnosis campaign for his contribution to the welfare of humanity and to motivate people to donate blood and to collect blood donors for the needs of any patient. At the time the chief guest UNO Zahidur Rahman and the invited guests were present.
