A total of 134 students of ethnic communities get scholarships, educational materials, bicycles and corona protection materials in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Thursday noon.
The scholarships, educational materials, bicycles and corona protection materials were provided under the program titled “Development Assistance for Special Areas” adopted by the Office of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.
These educational materials, bicycles, scholarships and corona protection materials were distributed at a program organized by the Upazila administration in the auditorium of the Upazila parishad.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman presided and Upazila parishad chairman Shah Md Borhan Uddin present as the chief guest at the distribution program.
Subhash Chandra Biswas president, Ranjit Kumar Biswas vice-president, Ramchandra Biswas GS, Nimai Chandra Biswas, Nandu Chandra Biswas, Prafulla Marak and Nipen Chandra Biswas along with other Members of Bangladesh Tribal Welfare Associations’ Nakla upazila branch; General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu, Publicity Secretary Nahidul Islam Rijon, Information and Research Secretary Asaduzzaman Sowrav of the Nakla of the Press Club and many others were present on the distribution program.
Tribal Welfare Association Nakla Upazila branch sources, 66 primary students, 47 secondary students and 21 higher secondary students get scholarships. 10 students got bicycles. 27 students got School Bags, Khata, Pens, Pencils, Geometry Boxes and Erasers. All students get soap and masks as corona protection materials.
