The 7th Annual Ganesh Pagal Mahatsab and Dharmalochana (religious discussion) will end Wednesday at Khalishakhali Purbapara Public Hari Mandir in Charbaniari Union of Chitalmari in Bagerhat.
A two-day function started on Tuesday at the initiative of the temple committee in the upazila.
On Tuesday (February 23) night, the program got off to a good start with a grand gathering and religious discussion. Haribhakta Tarak Pagal, who came from Jaipur Dham in Lohgara, Narail, spoke as the chief guest. Temple committee President Ujjal Chowdhury presided over the function.
Among others, Chitalmari Upazila Awami League vice-president Sukhmoy Gharami, Chitalmari Upazila Press Club President Pradeep Mandal, 7 no Ward UP member Parimal Hira and others spoke on the occasion. SS Sagar, Founder President of Chitalmari Upazila Press Club, Tauhidur Rahman, General Secretary and other prominent personalities and Haripremi Matua fans were present at the occasion.
Besides, a day-long Ganesh Pagal festival will be held on Wednesday (February 24) with the participation of about 25-30 Matua groups from different areas of the upazila.
