A minor boy was hacked to death at Fokirpara village in Dhunat Upazila of the district Thursday night.
On information, police recovered the body Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Toihid Sarker, 5, hailed from the village. He was the son of one Malaysian expatriate Abdul Gofur Sarker.
Police said Towhid was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at their house this morning when his mother Dulali Begum went out home for collecting grass for their cow.
Body was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge of Dhunat Thana Kripa Sindhu confirmed the incident.
