Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Maruful Alam distributed winter clothes among snake charmers (nomadic people) on Friday.
After receiving the news that two gypsy groups have taken refuge in Chitalmari, UNO came forward with blankets provided by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the cold-stricken people.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer was accompanied by Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral and Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Sheikh Nizam Uddin.
These wandering people are very happy to get blankets in this bone-chilling winter. Out of gratitude, they showed them the game of snakes and monkeys.
