The 50th Victory Day of Bangladesh is being celebrated in a festive mood in Chitalmari upazila in Bagerhat on Wednesday.
Chitalmari Upazila Administration arranged a programme on Wednesday morning celebrating the glorious Victory Day.
Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Maruful Alam, the event was attended by Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral as the Chief guest, special guest Assistant Commissioner for Land Jannatul Afroz Swarna, Officer-in-Charge Mir Shariful Haque and leaders of Upazila Awami League and all its affiliated and fraternal organizations, heroic freedom fighters, leaders of various social, cultural and professional organizations.
People of all walks of life also attended the colorful event after maintaining health safety measures. This year’s Victory Day was celebrated in a limited way maintaining hygiene due to the Corona pandemic.
