‘Doctor will go to the patient, not the patient to the doctor’ program inaugurated in Chitalmari

With the overall cooperation and guidance of Sheikh Helal Uddin, Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-1 constituency, “the doctor will go to the patient, not the patient to doctor” program has been inaugurated. .

Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Liton Ali jointly inaugurated the mobile ambulance team on Sunday (June 27) at 2pm at the initiative of Chitalmari Upazila Parishad and Upazila Administration.

In the inaugural function, among others Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jannatul Afroz Swarna, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mamun Hasan, Upazila Awami League President Md. Babul Hossain Khan, General Secretary Piyush Kanti Roy and Sadar UP Chairman Alhaj Sheikh Nizam Uddin and Vice President of Upazila Awami League heroic freedom fighter Sheikh Bellal Hossain were present.

In this regard, Chitalmari Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mamun Hasan said, “From the beginning of the Corona situation, all steps have been taken for the treatment of Corona patients with the overall cooperation and advice of Bagerhat-1 MP Sheikh Helal Uddin.” In the meantime, various steps have been taken including introduction of central oxygen system in Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex, preparation of semi ICU beds and isolation center for corona patients by the help of the MP, he said. Moreover, arrangements have been made to collect samples from the homes of the patients through mobile ambulance service.

Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Liton Ali said that Sheikh Helal Uddin MP of Bagerhat-1 constituency has always been inquiring about the overall situation of Chitalmari during the second wave of Corona. Under his overall cooperation and guidance, all sorts of preparations have been made to deal with the second and third waves of Corona.

In this regard, Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral said, with the overall cooperation and advice of MP Sheikh Helal Uddin, a mobile ambulance service has been launched to collect samples from patients’ homes to deal with the second and third wave of corona. Moreover, arrangements have been made to provide first aid to the patients at home.

Necessary medical equipments and medicines have also been provided at Chitalmari Upazila Health Complex to provide medical services to Corona patients, he added.
