Police have arrested 19 fugitives on warrant in Jamalpur’s Sarishabari. They were arrested in a police operation in different areas of the upazila on Thursday night.
According to police sources, police conducted raids in different areas of Sarishabari upazila on Thursday night. The fugitives in the GR and CR case are Tania Akhter (35) from Chaparkona village of Doail Union, Nure Alam, Farid Mia, Anwar Hossain, Gias Uddin, Aminul Islam, Nurul Islam, Sumaiya Akhter from Charrauha village of Satpoya union Golam Rabbani, Anwar Hossain, Golam Mostafa, Mustafizur Rahman of Mahadan Union, Joynal Abedin, Sujat Ali, Anijal, Titu Mia, Selim Mia and Nurul Islam of Aona Union were arrested. There are cases against the arrested on various charges including fraud.
Officer in charge (OC) Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim said 19 fugitives in GR and CR cases were arrested and sent to jail on Friday morning.
