Dhaka, 8 June 2023:
All were on rush to go to office, school and colleges at around 7:30 am on Thursday morning, when over one hundred motorcyclists slipped and injured in Agargaon area of the capital.
Swapan Singh a motorcyclist, was on the way to his office and became a victim, said, “Before crossing the Agargaon Metrorail station, I saw black and sticky oil spread on road. I saw over 8 motorcycles slipped and fell down. Firstly, I thought there was an earthquake. But I was wrong.”
The motorcyclists slipped and crashed on road for the black burnt Mobil on road, he added.
He also said that “the speed of my motorcycle was very low. Suddenly I found myself rolling on the road. My clothes were soaked with the black mobil.”
Some school-going children fell on the road due to an accident and were injured, he added.
The witnesses said that after long time when already over 100 slipping incidents, a traffic surgeon came and blocked the mobil-soaked road with bamboo.
However, no one could say who or who spread the burnt black mobil on the road.
