BBTech Debate held at USTC
The annual magazine ‘Scientia Hub’ of BBTech Science Club of the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) unveiled on Tuesday (6th December 2022).
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest and Vice-Chancellor of USTC, Professor Dr. Eng. Md. Jahangir Alam along with the special guests Pro-Vice Chancellor and HoD of BBTech Department Professor Dr. Nurul Absar, Registrar of USTC and advisor of SWAC, Dr. Mohammed Shahabuddin. The Guest of Honour was Managing Director of SA Group Mr. Sazzad Arefin Alam who was also one of the sponsors of the Scientia Hub magazine. 
After the unveiling of the newly launched annual magazine ‘Scientia Hub’, there was intra-department Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition in both English and Bangla. The judgement was done by the General Secretary of Drishty Chittagong Mr. Saifuddin Munna and Assistant Professor Dr. Shahina Akhter of BBTech Department. After a rigorous judgment, winners of both Bangla and English Debate competition were the Government team.
The judges highlighted the importance of this kind of debate competition, gave their valuable feedback on performance of the participants, and expressed their hope that BBTech Debate Club will continue to take the debate culture to a higher level and engage more students for a better society.
In the end, Mrs. Jannatun Wnaiza, Lecturer of BBTech Department and Supervisor of BBTech Debate Club gave vote of thanks and mentioned that the club will continue to arrange such kind of extra curriculum activities.
