Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Jahangirnagar University (JU) Unit Juwel-Chanchal Committee has been dissolved.
A press release singed by the organizations central president Al-Nahian Khan Joy and general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee confirmed the matter on Sunday.
‘As per the decision of Central Executive Parliament, the BCL JU unit committee is expired and dissolved from now on. The candidates for the post of president and secretary are directed to hand in their CVs within 10 working days to central organizing secretary Sabrina Eti, central co-IT secretary Ehsan Pial and central joint-secretary Farzana Yeasmin Rakhi,’ the press release reads.
Central general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee said, ‘Top leaders of BCL JU unit have left the campus. And we couldn’t work with this committee due to Covid pandemic. As the campus is normal again, BCL JU unit has been dissolved and soon their will be a new committee to speed up the activity of BCL.’
Earlier on 27 December 2016, the previous committee was announced having Juwel Rana, student of 39th batch of department of Geography and Environment, as president and SM Abu Sufian Chanchal, student of 39th batch of department of Anthropology, as secretary. After nearly five years, the central committee has announced the committee dissolved.
