On the second day of the toughest lockdown in Chitalmari of Bagerhat, a joint operation was conducted by the upazila administration and the army.
On Saturday (July 24), Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Liton Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jannatul Afroz Swarna and the Army conducted separate operations in different areas of the upazila including Chitalmari Sadar Bazar, Nalua, Kalatala and Kunia.
At that time, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Jannatul Afroz Swarna filed 4 cases in the name of 4 individuals and organizations for violating government restrictions in Chitalmari Sadar Bazar and collected a fine of Tk 1,099.
In this regard, Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Md. Liton Ali said that strict legal action will be taken against any person or organization violating the government restrictions during the strictest lockdown. He also urged all to adhere to strict hygiene rules to prevent corona.
