On the occasion of the Victory Day-2023, Sylhet City Corporation (CCIC) and Bangladesh Photojournalists Association (BPJA) Sylhet Divisional Committee jointly organized a three-day long ‘BPJA-SCC Liberation War-based Photography Exhibition’ inaugurated at Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar on Friday (December 15) morning.
Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury inagurated this Exhibition as a chief guest.
He said this Speech, a photograph of a photographer is the correct and true history. I remember with respect the Surya children of Sylhet who participated in the great liberation war of 1971 from the language movement of 1952. This photo exhibition will be organized every year under the initiative of Sylhet City Corporation and Photo Journalists Association. Because we too will become history one day, if we do good work, our pictures will also be displayed in this page.
He said, photojournalists risk their lives to work in their profession. They face obstacles in their professional duties. Still they are not stopping, they are working for the welfare of the country and nation. I will always stand by Photojournalists Association. Because these photojournalists gave me full support, today I was able to be elected mayor. He sought the cooperation of all citizens in fulfilling their responsibilities.
