Rohingyas place 7-point demand at separate rallies in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar, 19 June, 2022:

The forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (FDMN) arranged separate rallies inside the camps in Ukhiya and Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Leaders of Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH) placed the 7 demands during the rallies at different camps in Cox’s Bazar.

The 7 demands are as follows-
1) Rohingyas must be repatriated to Myanmar soon
2) Repeal the Citizenship Act of 1982
3) Repatriate Rohingyas to their own villages soon
4) Ensure the rights and security
5) The repatriation process must be done in a- timely manner
6) Shut IDP camps in Rakhine State
7) Stop oppression on innocent Rohingyas in Myanmar and take Rohingyas to their own villages soon

Separate rallies were brought out in 10 Camps in Cox’s Bazar including Lambasia Camp 1 East, Mochra Camp 4, Balukhali Camp- 9, Jamtali Camp-15 and Jadimura Camp-27.

ARSPH members Dr. Zubair, Master Kamal, Master Yusuful Noor among others spoke during the rally on a playground at Camp 1 East in Ukhia.

Late Rohingya leader Mohammad Muhib Ullah formed the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH).

Mohammad Mohib Ullah, 46, was shot dead by an unidentified group of armed men on 29 September 2021, in his office at Kutupalong camp, in Ukhia Upazila, Cox’s Bazar.

Mohib Ullah’s organization, ARSPH has been working peacefully for the rights and justice of Rohingya.
