Md. Shide Mahadey Sakender, A former student of Jagannath University is moving forward in the field of art and culture. In addition to academic studies at the university, he was also regularly active in co-educational activities. In a word, he is leaving the signature of success everywhere. He got a CGPA of 3.75 from the philosophy department and became the first in class.

He has presented at various events at University. In addition to his reputation as a presenter, he has been active in different social and cultural organizations, including debating, acting, and writing. He is being called an all-rounder. He is famous in all walks of life of Jagannath University as a meritorious cultural activist.

Md. Shide Mahadey Sakender passed HSC from Notre Dame College in 2014. While in college, he actively participated in the Notre Dame Drama Group and the Notre Dame Rover Scout Group as part of his co-educational activities. He was the Literary and Publications Secretary of the Natyadal Executive Committee and the Den Editor of the Notre Dame Rover Scout Group. He has also acted and directed several plays on various stages including the National Academy of Arts.

He has been involved in stage plays as well as TV dramas and short films. He is regularly performing in TV dramas. He has worked in multiple singles and series. He has recently played an essential role in the serial drama, “Hamilton’s Fluter is now in Dhaka.” It will broadcast quickly on a television channel. Besides, he writes regularly for various national dailies. He was also associated with campus journalism.

In recognition of his contribution to cultural activities, he was honored with the highest honorary lifetime membership from Notre Dame College Natyadal at the 8th National Natyotsab and Workshop.

Referring to excelling in co-curricular activities at the university and excelling in one’s academic studies, he said, “Students need to focus on their work, responsible behavior, and self-esteem. Co-educational activities play the most important role. The full development of the student takes place through the practice of the organization.”

Md. Shide Mahadey Sekender has been the elected class representative of his department since the first year. He has played an essential role in the co-educational activities of the university. He has served as General Secretary of the Jagannath University Cultural Center and General Secretary of the Philosophy Debating Club, Senior Vice President of the Notre Dame Society of Jagannath University, and a member of the Jagannath University Journalists Association. He was also the Joint General Secretary of SRM and Rover in Council of Jagannath University Rover Scout Group.

He has been active in co-educational activities since his school days. Notable among them is the best speaker at the school level, second in the competition on Bangabandhu’s speech of March 7 in Khulna District, first place in Khulna division in present speech. He won second place at the national level by representing Jagannath University in the scheduled speech competition on the Speech of March 7 organized by Bangladesh Scout.

In addition to excelling in solo performances several times, she has had several notable accomplishments at writing and cultural activities. He has ensured 100% class attendance in college and university life. He is credited with receiving 100% Class Attendance and Certificate of Honesty from Notre Dame College in recognition of this.

Mahadey Sakender received a Jashore Board Scholarship in SSC from Government Khulna Model School and College and Dhaka Board Merit in HSC from Notre Dame College. He has become the first in the first class in the university with his signature of merit.

Growing up in Garakhola village of Fultola Upazila of Khulna district, the talented face said about his career and dream, ‘I want to keep the academic place ahead. As a result, there is a desire to concentrate on research. Apart from this, I will work to nurture the indigenous culture and create a cultural awakening among the younger generation.
