A court in Dhaka in Friday sent to jail actress Pori Moni and film producer Nazrul Islam Raz in separate drugs cases.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondal passed the orders as police produced them before the court after the end of their remands in the two separate narcotics cases.
Earlier on August 10, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devbrata Biswas placed Pori Moni on two-day fresh remand in the case. Another court had also placed Raz on two-day remand in the narcotics case on that day.
Pori Moni was detained by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on August 4 from her Banani flat and seized huge amounts of foreign liquors and different drugs from there. RAB on the same night detained Raz from his Banani house and drugs were recovered from his flat.
