Bagerhat District Administration has provided food aid to Maria Palli in Bagerhat Municipality. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bagerhat Md Azizur Rahman inaugurated the food aid on Friday (July 9).
Among others, on the occasion, Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Sardar Nasir Uddin, Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Mosabberul Islam, Bagerhat Foundation General Secretary Ahad Uddin Haider, Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Khan Rezaul Islam, Women Vice Chairman Rizia Parveen, 4th Ward Councilor of Bagerhat Municipality Khan Touhidur Rahman Johnny were ptesent.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Azizur Rahman said, “During this corona period, we are providing food aid to the scavengers, cobblers, third sex, van and rickshaw drivers who have become unemployed during this corona period. As part of this, food aid is being provided to 350 families in Maria Palli today. Officially, this relief work will be continued, he added. “
