The budget of Nakla municipality for the fiscal year 2021-2022 was announced on Monday noon. Md Hafizur Rahman Liton, mayor of the Nakla municipality, announced the budget at the auditorium of the municipal office. The total amount of the budget has been proposed at about Tk 874,325,671 and the total amount of cost has been proposed at some Tk 855,680,000.
Municipal Secretary Monirul Islam gave a welcome speech and conducted over the budget announced program. Municipal Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton presided over the program, where FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah general secretary of Upazila AL was present as the chief guest.
A total of Tk 77,548,964 will be income from the revenue sector, Tk 781,236,653 from the development sector and Tk 15,540,054 from capital will be income. Total of Tk 75,180,000 will be spent from the revenue sector, Tk 777,000,000 from the development sector and Tk 3,500,000 will be spent from the capital sector.
Upazila AL office secretary Khalilur Rahman, member Indrajit Dhar Subhash, former commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad Command Council FF Abul Mansur, convener of Upazila KL and convener of Nakla Debating Society Alamgir Azad, president of Upazila Puja Celebration Committee Devjit Poddar Jhumur, Upazila Juba League member Ayub Khan, Nakla Press Club general secretary Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu, vice-president Khandaker Jasim Uddin Mintu and others were spoke on the program.
The municipal mayor Md Hafizur Rahman Liton said, “I want to build a drug and other crime free municipality. There is no compromise in this regard. I expect cooperation from all. Due to the second wave of corona infection, this year’s budget announcement ceremony has been limited keeping in mind the social health rules.” The Mayor described all the ongoing works of the municipality and outlined future work plans.
