Homestead gardening can meet nutrition demand: Speakers

Speakers at a program said that homestead gardening can help contribute people to meet their nutrition demand in the country.

They made this observation at a consultation programme titled “Homestead Garden: A Sustainable Model for Nutrition Security Income and Diversity.”

The event was held at the conference hall of Bangladesh Institute of Research and Training (BIRTAN) Pirgnj Regional Office, Rangpur on Thursday (17th June, 2021).

Principal Trainer of Gaibandha Agriculture Training Institute Dr. Swmir Chandra Ghosh was present at the function as chief guest.

Incharge of Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute Epicenter Rangpur Dr. Mohammad Ali attended the function as the special guest.

Senior scientific officer On-Spot Research Division of Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute Rangpur Dr Shamim Hosen Molla presented the paternity article in the function.

Agriculturist Dr.Sadequl Islam, Head and Senior scientific officer of BIRTAN Pirgang regional office presided over the function. Mr. Marufur Rahman,scientific officer BIRTAN Pirgang regional office conducted the function.

In their speech, speakers of the function emphasized the role of homestead gardening to build a skilled and prosperous nation as well as a hunger and poverty free Bangladesh of which we visions of.
