3-day-long International Children Art Festival 2022 begins


Over 300 children artists from 13 countries participate

The 6th “Paint Your Dream – International Children Art Festival 2022” an annual event series of FOCUS Bangladesh that is particularly organized for children is inaugurated by Freedom Fighter and eminent artist Biren Shome on Friday (26th August), at Bangladesh Club, Sector 4, Uttara, Dhaka.

More than 300 children artists from 13 countries including Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Iran, Bulgaria, Russia, USA, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Canada, Malaysia, and Serbia have participated. This time FOCUS Bangladesh has collaborated with IWS and Paddo Art Workshop.

The artworks are selected by international juries from different countries specializing in different themes. The organizer of the event Md. Kauser Hossain thinks that this type of event can play a major role in culture, perspective, and opinion exchange among children as they express their dreams through colors and limitless imagination.

Biren Shome has also been awarded the ‘lifetime achievement award’ from FOCUS Bangladesh for his contribution to the fine arts of Bangladesh. At the opening ceremony Tasik Ahmed, Khan Mohammad Bilal, Dr. Rashed Sukhon, Tahmina Shilpi, and Md Shahid Hossain was present as special guest.

The exhibition will be open for all from from 26 to 28 August, 2022.
