Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Thursday decided to resume its online ticketing system including booking, Check-in and web services from February 27, 2022.

The national flag carrier is going to resume these services to improve the passenger experience through new Passenger Service Solution (PSS), Sabre, a leading software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry.

In order to shift the current PSS database from Sita to Sabre, ticket booking, reservation and ticket issuing will remain halted on all Biman’s channels from 3.45pm on February 26 to 3am on February 27, according to a Biman press release.

However, Biman’s regular activities including airport check-in will remain fully functional under a special arrangement and its all flights will be on as scheduled during this approximate eleven and half hours of system closure, the release also said.

Earlier in September, 2021 Biman partnered with the US based organization Sabre to power digital transformation and as well as drive revenue growth.

Sabre is the first passenger service system which has achieved International Air Transport Association (IATA) ONE Order certification.
