73 pc COVID-19 deaths in January were unvaccinated people: DGHS

In January, seventy-three percent COVID-19 deaths were unvaccinated people, this was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In a virtual bulletin, DGHS Spokesperson Prof Dr Nazmul Islam on Wednesday said, “Among the 322 COVID-19 deaths in the month of January, this year, 73 percent were found unvaccinated people.”

In last month (January, 2022), Bangladesh reported 322 COVID-19 deaths while it recorded 91 deaths in December, 2021.

Of the total 322 fatalities, 234 people were not inoculated while 88 people or 27 percent received vaccines, the DGHS sources said.
