The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) to 13 districts across the country.
The Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday issued a gazette notification in this regard.
The districts are – Gazipur, Narayanganj, Brahmanbaria, Naogaon, Pirojpur, Rajbari, Noakhali, Chuadanga, Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Sylhet, Jhenaidah and Chapainawabganj.
According to the notification, director (deputy secretary) of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Anisur Rahman has been appointed as the DC in Gazipur, personal secretary to the state minister for education Md Shahgir Alam in Brahmanbaria, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Khalid Mehedi Hasan in Naogaon, deputy director of Ashrayan project Mohammad
Zahidur Rahman in Pirojpur, and public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Abu Kaisar Khan in Rajbari.
Besides, home minister’s personal secretary Dewan Mahbubur Rahman has been made DC in Noakhali, cabinet division’s deputy secretary Aminul Islam in Chuadanga, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Nafisa Arefin in
Nilphamari, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Md Aliur Rahman in Gaibandha, public administration ministry’s deputy secretary Monira Begum in Jhenaidah and deputy director (deputy secretary) of Mymensingh DC office AKM Galiv Khan has been appointed as the DC in Chapainawabganj.
Chapainawabganj DC Md Manjurul Haque has been transferred as DC in Narayanganj while Jhenaidah DC Md Mojibur Rahman has been transferred as DC in Sylhet.
In another notification, the government has appointed Chuadanga DC Md Nazrul Islam Sarker as deputy director general of Bangladesh Television, Gazipur DC SM Tariqul Islam as secretary of the Bangladesh Services Limited and Nilphamari DC Md Hafizur Rahman as joint secretary of the Energy and
Mineral Resources Division.
Besides, Gaibandha DC Md Abdul Matin and Naogaon DC Md Harun-Or-Rashid have been appointed as deputy secretary of the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry while Brahmanbaria DC Hayat-Ud-Daula Khan has been appointed as deputy secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry, Rajbari DC Dilshad Begum as deputy secretary of Security Services Division of the Home Ministry, Narayanganj DC Mostain Billah as deputy secretary of the Road and Highways Division and Pirojpur DC Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain has been appointed personal secretary to the education minister.
