Heroic freedom fighter and Awami League Advisory Council member Joynal Hazari died of old-age complications at a hospital in Dhaka on Monday.
He was 75.
“Valiant freedom fighter and former MP of Feni-2 constituency Joynal Hazari breathed his last around 5.25pm at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka, where he was undergoing treatment,” said his family sources.
Hazari was elected lawmaker with Awami League ticket from Feni-2 constituency in 1986, 1991 and 1996.
He was also general secretary of greater Noakhali district unit of Chhatra League, the student wing of Awami League.
