Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center becomes new address with multi-disciplinary hospital services

Dhaka, 22 December, 2021, Wednesday: The Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center has been shifted to a new address to serve a large number of kidney patients. The business organisation, which is a joint venture between Japanese multinational Nipro Corporation and Bangladeshi industrial group JMI, is now operated at the fourth floor of Panthapath’s City Tower. From now on kidney patients will get dialysis, ICU, diagnosis, surgery, emergency department and other related services 24*7.

Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ito Naoki inaugurated the Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center at its new address on Wednesday morning. At that time he visited the organisation and talked to the on-duty doctors-nurses and patients.

Ito Naoki, the inaugural function’s chief guest, praised the Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center for its use of modern equipment and cleanliness. The Japanese Ambassador also hoped that the joint reputation of Japan and Bangladesh in the service of kidney patients would be enhanced through this institution.

During the inaugural ceremony, it was announced that the Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center has been relocated to the new location in order to provide all types of services for kidney patients under one roof. Because the Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital Limited, a long-standing organization serving kidney patients, is still housed in the same building. For a long time, the two organizations have been providing services to the kidney patients at different locations in Dhaka.

Md. Abdur Razzaq, the founder and managing director of JMI Group said that, they have set up the Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center in collaboration with Japan in 2011. “Since then we have been providing dialysis services using cutting-edge Japanese technology. Now, we have begun our journey at the same building where the Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital is located, to expedite the services provided to kidney patients.”

With the services of Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital at the same building with Nipro-JMI, the quality of treatment of kidney patients in the country will be improved by several steps, said the managing director of Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital Dr. Yusuf Hossain Nur.

He said, “If the treatment is started at an early stage of diagnosis, kidney patients are more likely to live longer. We want to make sure that everyone has access to cutting-edge dialysis technology. Nipro-JMI is on our side in this case. We will also bring the poor people of the country under this service.”

Among others, Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital Limited Vice-Chairman Syed Harun Aur Rashid, JMI Group Chief Financial Officer Jahangir Alam, Nipro-JMI Dialysis Center Limited Executive Director Kunio (Kenny) Takamido, were presented at the event.
