A total of 40 irrigation pumps were distributed among 40 fish farmers at Chitalmari in Bagerhat on Tuesday.
The members of Hijla Charpara and Hijla Mathpara Fisheries Cooperative Society Ltd. under the NATP-2 project received the irrigation pumps at the initiative of Upazila Fisheries Department. 
Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Sohail Md. Zillur Rahman Regan presided over the function while Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral was the Chief Guest.
Special guests were Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Liton Ali and AC (Land )Jannatul Afroz Swarna.
Among others, Upazila Mahila Vice Chairman Sabera Begum Swapna, Sadar UP Chairman Sheikh Nizam Uddin were present.
