The 46th Martyrdom Anniversary and National Mourning Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been observed at the party office with the recitation of the Holy Quran, prayers, discussion meeting and public banquet at the initiative of Chitalmari Upazila Awami Juba League.
The recitation of the Holy Quran was held on Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. Convener of Upazila Juba League Sheikh Nazrul Islam presided over the prayer and discussion meeting held at 2 pm and Upazila Awami League President Md Babul Hossain Khan was the Chief Guest.
Special guests were Piyush Kanti Roy, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League, Sheikh Nizam Uddin, Vice President, Sheikh Keramat Ali, Joint General Secretary, Shibpur Union Awami League General Secretary Oliuzzaman Jewel Khalifa and former Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Saheb Ali Faraji.
Juba League joint-convener and vice chairman Sheikh Mahatab, former BCL president Shahidul Islam Liton, BCL President Riazul Islam Riad, general secretary Robin Hira and many others also spoke at the meeting.
