Free blood grouping campaign in Nakla

A free blood group diagnosis program was held at Dhanakusha Bazar, under Nakla union in Nakla of Sherpur on the occasion of the 46th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of independence, Father of the Bengali Nation.

In addition, awareness meetings and masks have been distributed to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily while maintaining a safe social distance and following health rules as per the instructions of the government.

More than 200 people of different professions and different ages of the Upazila were free blood groups. In addition, free masks have been distributed among the people to prevent coronavirus (Covid-19) infection during the campaign. The volunteer organization also arranged an awareness meeting to determine the free blood group and motivate the people to donate blood.

President of the organization Abu Hanif presided over the program, where social worker Soyeb Mahmud Rishad, deputy program and planning secretary of the district BCL present as the chief guest.

Vice-presidents Rashedul Islam and Ripon Hasan, general secretary Fahad Ahmed, organizing secretary Shipon Ahammed, publicity secretary Ansarul Islam, treasurer Shahadat Hossain, members Rajib Mia, Tajedul Hasan, Mahbub Hasan, Hridoy Mia and other members of Blood Bank of Dhanakusha, well-wishers and journalists of different media were present.

Asif Alam Chamak, founder president of ‘Blood Drops Humanity’, A.R Golam Morshed Adib, director of ‘Active Blood Point’ and many other experienced volunteers of blood group diagnosis were provided assistance to complete the blood group diagnosis campaign.
