A preparatory meeting was held in a virtual manner on the occasion of National Mourning Day-2021 on the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of independence and father of the Bengali Nation on Tuesday.
Besides, discussions were held on the occasion of celebrating the birthday of Captain Shaheed Sheikh Kamal on 5 August and the birthday of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesha on 8 August.
Later, the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Health Complex organized virtual information and preparatory meeting for the mass vaccination program of Corona Virus (Covid-19) on the day noon.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman presided and conducted the program, where Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah Md Borhan Uddin spoke on the meeting as the chief guest.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Muhammad Abdur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station Mushfiqur Rahman, Bangabandhu Education and Research Parishad of Nakla Upazila Branch President Majibur Rahman, Upazila Juba League Convener Rafiqul Islam Sohel, Primary Education Officer Fazilatun Nesha, Chandrakona UP Chairman Saju Saeed Siddiqui, Former Senior Vice President of Bangabandhu Projanma League of Nakla Upazila Branch and Pathakata UP Chairman Muhammad Fayez Millat were also spoke in the virtual meeting.
Among others, the president of the Nakla Press Club Md Musharaf Hossain and GS Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu along with other journalists of the Press Club, heads of all departments working in the upazila, leaders of Upazila AL, JL, KL at different levels, chairmen of different Union Parishads, people’s representatives at different area, local teachers and journalists participated in the meeting.
The speakers were special requested to the law enforcement agencies and the police department to keep a close watch so that no one can aggravate the mourning by creating any kind of sabotage or chaos during the month of mourning.
Moreover, on the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, that is, on the National Mourning Day, it was requested to carry out various programs to protect self and to make others aware.
