Md Musharaf Hossain, Sherpur:
A mentally handicapped minor girl drowned at Ronigaon area under Gauradhar union in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Suhagi Akhter (😎, daughter of van driver Anwar Hossain, village of Urfa under the Urfa union of the upazila.
Suhagi Akhter was the eldest of three daughters of Anwar Hossain and she was one grader student at a local school in the area of her grandfather’s house of Ronigaon.
Family sources said, Suhagi Akhter did not live in Urfa with her parents, but she lived in the house of her grandfather Manjurul Islam in Ronigaon village of Gauradhar union since childhood.
When family members were busy working for the family, at this time Suhagi Akhter fell into a pond anyone’s unknowledgely. Unable to see her at that time, family members started searching for Suhagi. After about an hour, locals saw Suhagi floating on the water of the pond. Later, the body was recovered.
