Police have arrested two members of a motorcycle thieves’ syndicate in Chitalmari. At this time 4 stolen motorcycles were recovered from them. The detainees were sent to court on Sunday (August 1) morning.
According to the police, Khulna police conducted an operation on the basis of secret information and recovered four stolen motorcycles from Aruabarni, Kharamkhali and Hijla areas of the upazila on Sunday early morning.
Two members of the motorcycle thieves’ syndicate were arrested at the time. The arrested are Masuk Kazi, 30, son of Ehiya Kazi of Hijla village in the upazila and Moniruzzaman Milon, 48, son of late Abdur Sattar Sikder of Paikkandi village in Gopalganj.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner’s Office SI Saidur Rahman said that upon receiving secret information, they conducted raids in different places of Chitalmari Upazila from Saturday night to Sunday morning. During the operation, two members of the motorcycle thieves’ syndicate were arrested and four stolen motorcycles were recovered on their information.
