Lockdown guidelines violation: TK 32,850 fined in 54 cases in Sherpur

A Mobile Court on Monday from 9am to 4pm fined in 54 cases to count Tk 32,850 for violating lockdown rules and regulations in Sherpur district of the all-out lockdown.

The fines were imposed in 54 cases conducted by 10 mobile courts in 140 raids of 17 teams in all upazila (5 upazila) of the district. Moreover, free masks were distributed among those who did not bring forgotten masks.

According to the information, in Sherpur Sadar Upazila fined Tk 10,200 in 16 cases, in Nakla Upazila fined Tk 11,750 in 19 cases, in Nalitabari Upazila fined Tk 4,800 in 11 cases, in Shreebardi Upazila fined Tk 4,000 in 5 cases and in Jhenaigati Upazila fined Tk 2,100 in 3 cases Judges of the court.

Nirbahi Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate led the all mobile court of the district.

As part of, Zahidur Rahman, Nirbahi Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Nakla, Kawsar Ahammad, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate, Salauddin Biswas, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate led the mobile court of the Nakla upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station Mushfiqur Rahman, members of Army, BGB and Police Department assisted in running each court.

Employees of different levels of the UNO office and Land office of the upazila, members of Army, BGB and Nakla police station, journalists of different media were present at the time.

The Upazila administration, leaders of upazila AL, JL and SL, police department, journalists of Nakla Press Club and different voluntary organizations are working to make the people aware of the need to implement this lockdown.

Moreover, to make the lockdown effective, surveillance has been intensified in different markets at the union level, including at various roads in Nakla municipal town.

UNO Zahidur Rahman and AC Land Kawsar Ahammad said that such courts would continue to operate during the lockdown for the second wave of Coronavirus (Covit-19) for the public. For this, the district and upazila administration, army, BGB and police departments will be in a strict position, they added.
