More than 500 unemployed family’s get food items in Nakla

More than 500 working low-income families and unemployed families get food items and cash taka in Nakla municipality of Sherpur district on Sunday noon. They get 10 kg of rice and cash taka per person.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has provided humanitarian assistance to unemployed poor families due to the lockdown announced by the government to curb the impact of corona (COVID-19).

A distributed program was arranged by Nakla municipality at the Nakla Government Pilot High School ground, as per the instructions of the government, maintaining social and physical distance and in accordance with the health rules.

At this time, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman, Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah Md Burhan Uddin, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, Joint Secretary and Municipal Mayor Md Hafizur Rahman Liton, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station Md Mushfiqur Rahman, Tag Officer Sub Assistant Director of BADC cold storage Md Mizanur Rahman, Municipal Councilor Md Tota Mia, Md Zarif Hossain, Md Farid Ahmed Lalon along with other councilors and officials of the Nakla municipal, many locals and journalists of different media were present.

The humanitarian assistance of the Prime Minister will be distributed among the working and helpless families of the union and ward level workers in phases, said Upazila Chairman Shah Md Burhan Uddin, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zahidur Rahman and General Secretary of Upazila Awami League FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah and others.
