‘Oxygen Bank’ set up to provide door-to-door oxygen services

An ‘Oxygen Bank’ launched in Bagerhat to provide door-to-door oxygen services to coronavirus patients.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bagerhat Mohammad Azizur Rahman inaugurated the program at the Old Court Mosque area of ​​the city on Thursday afternoon.

The life-saving service was launched under the slogan ‘Call hotline, oxygen will reach your home’ at the personal initiative of Bagerhat Sadar MP Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tanmoy.

According to the people involved in the service, under the overall supervision of Bagerhat District Chhatra League, the volunteers of the organization will go to the homes of the critically ill patients and provide this oxygen. If you call 01886-305309 on this hotline, the volunteers of Chhatra League will reach the patient’s house with oxygen.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Mohammad Azizur Rahman said at the inauguration ceremony, “If oxygen is delivered in time, a patient’s life can be saved, but a patient’s life can be lost due to lack of oxygen.” I expect the successful implementation of this initiative of the Member of Parliament. ”

Earlier, due to the increase in corona infection, the initiative taken by the MP to collect patient samples from door to door is being successfully managed.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bagerhat KM Ariful Haque was also present in the inaugural program.
