A day-long livestock exhibition-2021 was held at Nakla government pilot high school field in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Saturday.
On this occasion, a limited discussion meeting was held by maintaining physical distance and following the health rules as per the government instructions. The exhibition was held in collaboration with “Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP)” under the Livestock Department of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and implemented by Nakla Upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital Authority and Livestock Exhibition-2021 Implementation Committee.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman presided over the exhibition and discussion meeting, where upazila parishad chairman Shah Md Burhan Uddin was present as chief guest. Sub assistant livestock officer Jahangir Alam conducted the meeting.
General Secretary of Upazila Awami League FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, Joint GS of Upazila AL and Mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton, Vice Chairman of Upazila parishad Mohammad Saroar Alam Talukder spoke as special guests. Among the invited guests were Upazila AL Vice President Abdul Khaleq, Upazila KL convener Alamgir Azad, Bangabandhu Education and Research Council president Nakla Upazila branch Mojibur Rahman, Upazila JL convener Rafiqul Islam Suhel and Upazila SL general secretary Shyamal Sutra Dhar and livestock farmers Pervez Musharraf were spoke on the program.
At this time the female vice chairman of the Upazila parishad Mst Farida Yasmin, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Md Abdul Ahad, Vice President of Upazila AL Mafidul Islam, Member of District Council and Organizing Secretary of Upazila AL Samiul Haque Mukta, Finance Secretary Syed Alam Monju, Publicity Secretary Abdur Rashid, Joint Convener of Upazila JL Rezaul Karim Ripon, Upazila Public Health Department Deputy Assistant Engineer Romman Ara Zannat, Upazila Information Assistant (Acting Information Officer) Saimon Shahanaz, Nakla Press Club President Md Musharraf Hossain, Organizing Secretary Fazle Rabbi Rajon and Nur Hossain, Publicity Secretary Nahidul Islam Rijon, Executive Members Simanur Rahman Sukhon and Raisul Islam Rifat, Veterinary Surgeon Dr Khadija Begum, Livestock and Dairy Development Project Officer Shiuli Akhter, Sub Assistant Livestock Officer Asaduzzaman Ranju, Abdul Qaddus and Mostafizur Rahman along with other officers and employees of upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital, leaders of upazila AL, JL; journalists of different media, officer of different office of upazila, more than 50 people Livestock farmers were present.
At the end of the discussion, the guests visited each stall of the fair. It has been seen that there are 51 stalls in the livestock exhibition-2021. There are 45 livestock stalls, 5 different technical and medical assistance stalls and a dairy food stall.
At the end of the fair, the guests handed over the prizes to the best stall owners after checking the judges. In addition, all the participating stall owners were given good quality food and best wishes.
Nakla Upazila Livestock Officer Md Dr Abdul Ahad said, The Livestock Exhibition-2021 has been held in all (5) upazilas of the Sherpur district including Sadar upazila. Upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital Authority and Livestock Exhibition-2021 Implementation Committee implemented all these exhibitions, he added.
