The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament (Boys) Under 17 was inaugurated on Monday at Chitalmari in Bagerhat.
Chitalmari Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Liton Ali jointly inaugurated the tournament at the ground of Sher-e-Bangla Degree College on Monday (May 31) at 3 pm at the initiative of Chitalmari Upazila Administration.
Among others, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jannatul Afroz Swarna, Principal(Acting) of Sher-e-Bangla Degree College Swapan Kumar Chowdhury, Upazila Education Officer Md Aminul Islam, Youth Development Officer Md Sohrab Hossain and Chitalmari Sadar UP Chairman Alhaj Sheikh Nizam Uddin were present on the occasion.
Under-17 players from 7 unions of the upazila are expected to take part in the three-day tournament.
