A human chain and protest rally was held at Chitalmari upazila in Bagerhat demanding immediate release of senior journalist Rozina Islam and trial for the corrupt people identified for harassing her.
A faction of Journalists of Chitalmari under the banner of Chitalmari Upazila Press Club organized the program in front of the Upazila Parishad at 11am on Thursday. 
General Secretary Tauhidur Rahman Babu along with some local journalists spoke at the human chain and protest meeting.
They strongly condemned the harassment, physical torture and false case against Rozina Islam. “She must be released unconditionally and immediately,” they demanded.
