In the first phase, financial assistance has been provided to 1,273 extreme poor on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr through VGF card in Chitalmari.
Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Liton Ali inaugurated the program at 12 noon on Sunday at the premises of Chitalmari Government SM Model High School on the initiative of Chitalmari Sadar Union Parishad.
Among others, on the occasion, Chitalmari Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Alhaj Sheikh Nizam Uddin, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md Sohrab Hossain, Upazila Election Officer Md Abdul Majid, Upazila Rural Poverty Alleviation Officer Shahana Parveen, Chitalmari Upazila Press Club President Pradeep Mandal, General Secretary Md. Tauhidur Rahman Babu, UP member Md. Ibrahim Munshi, Sheikh Shahid were present.
