New Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chitalmari Police Station in Bagerhat A, H, M Kamruzzaman joined yesterday.
He joined the Chitalmari police station on Friday (May 8 and took part in official work. On this day, people from different walks of life exchanged greetings with the new OC.
He took the charge of departed Officer (OC) of Chitalmari Police Station Mir Shariful Haque who was recently transferred to Narail.
According to the sources, prior to that A. H. M. Kamruzzaman was the Officer in Charge (OC) of Detective Branch (DB) of Chuadanga.
In this regard, the new Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Kamruzzaman said that he would take all possible steps to eradicate all kinds of criminal activities from Chitalmari including drugs, corruption, militancy and usury.
He also assured that the Chitalmari police station would be freed from middlemen and various services of the police would be ensured to bring to the doorsteps of the people. In this regard, he sought the cooperation of people from all walks of life in Chitalmari.
