Anwar Hossain, former president of Upazila Chhatra Union and vice-president of Bagerhat district committee, died in a road accident at Chitalmari in Bagerhat.
He met a tragic accident on his way to Batiaghata from Khulna on a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon. Locals rescued him and admitted him to Batiaghata Health Complex, from where he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital. The on-duty doctor declared him dead at 4.30 pm that day.
Comrade Anwar Hossain was serving as the Khulna Territory Supervisor of Eminence Chemical Industries Limited. According to family sources, he was going to work for the company. The deceased was the son of Nawab Ali Munshi of Aruaborni Village of Chitalmari Upazila.
He was buried at the family graveyard after Janaza prayers at his home at 9am on Wednesday. At the time of his death, he left behind a son, wife and many relatives & admirers.
