Nakla Press Club’s new committee starts working

The new committee of Nakla Press Club has started working after a formal inauguration ceremony in Sherpur district recently.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the newly elected committee and the celebration of the golden jubilee of independence at the Mujib Centenary (Muktamancha) ground of the upazila, a commemoration in the first phase, the introduction of the newly elected.

The convener of the press club and the chief election commissioner, the eminent poet, columnist, renowned journalist Talat Mahmud presided and the newly elected organizing secretary Md Nur Hossain conduct over the first phase of introduction of the newly elected and newly elected president Md Musharaf Hossain presided and Sherpur Press Club General Secretary Meraj Uddin conduct over the second phase of cultural program of the ceremony.

Shah Md Burhan Uddin chairman of the upazila parishad and joint secretary of upazila AL, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zahidur Rahman and others were spoke on the program.

Newly elected joint secretary Nasir Uddin recited from the Holy Quran. Later, a heroic freedom fighter and a helpless disabled person were given two wheelchairs one by one. These wheelchairs have been provided with the funding of Abu Sharif Kamruzzaman who an expatriate from Australia.

After that, the commemoration and introduction of the newly elected started. The newly elected president Md Musharaf Hossain, vice-president Khandaker Jasim Uddin Minto and Md Mizanur Rahman, general secretary Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu, joint secretary Nasir Uddin and Md Delwar Hossain, organizational secretary Fazle Rabbi Rajon and Md Nur Hossain, office secretary Selim Reza, treasurer Abdullah Al-Amin, literary and cultural secretary Mazharul Islam Lalon, publication secretary Nahidul Islam Rijon, information and research secretary Asaduzzaman Sourav; Executive Members Talat Mahmud, Alhaj Mahbubur Rahman, Abdur Rafiq, Simanur Rahman Sukhon, Md Mosharraf Hossain Shyamal and Raisul Islam Rifat; General member Md Maminul Islam Sumon, Md Sujan Mia, Md Sumon Mia, Rezaul Hasan Safit, Md Mofazzal Hossain, M.F Zaman Farooq and A.K.M Maminul Bashar Babu introduced their respective identities.

Later, the newly elected people were given a stick of flowers and a garland of fresh flowers around their necks. Afterwards, the newly elected welcomed the invited guests by handing over a stick of flowers and exchanged greetings with them.

In the middle of the first and second phase of the ceremony, on behalf of the newly elected committee of Nakla Press Club, Shah Md Burhan Uddin chairman of upazila parishad, Zahidur Rahman upazila nirbahi officer of Nakla, FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah general secretary of upazila AL, Md Hafizur Rahman Liton mayor of Nakla municipal, renowned journalist Talat Mahmud and singer Al Mamun were given mementos.

The second stage of the program was started with the beautiful dance of two children. Many artists including BTV, NTV, Asian TV and My TV listed singers Al Mamun, Mitu Ashrafi, Hasna Hena and Riya performed at the cultural event. In addition, 5 children’s dancers performed a beautiful dance in the midst of the songs of these vocalists.

Among others, Mohammad Saroar Alam Talukder vice-chairman of Nakla upazila parishad, Samiul Haque Mukta member of district council, Majibur Rahman president of Bangabandhu education and research council of Nakla upazila branch, Abdur Rashid sarker publicity secretary of upazila AL, Rafiqul Islam Sohel convener and F.M Kamrul Alam Ranju joint convener of upazila juba league, Mushfiqur Rahman OC of Nakla police station, Juba League leader Noor Alam Siddiqui Utpal, Social worker Kamruzzaman Gendu, Mohiuddin Suhel correspondent of SA Television, Shakil Murad organizing secretary of Sherpur Youth Reporters Club, Naeem Islam correspondent of Bangla TV, Shahriar Shakir correspondent of News Bangla and many others journalists of different media, leaders of upazila, municipal and union AL, JL and allied organizations, thousands of local dignitaries and listeners were present.
