A total of 116 people were Tk 18,920 fined at mobile court for not using face mask in Sherpur district on Wednesday.
Among them, 26 people were Tk 3,600 fined at mobile court on Wednesday noon.
Zahidur Rahman Nirbahi Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Nakla and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Kawsar Ahammad led the mobile court.
Executive Magistrate and UNO Zahidur Rahman handled 8 cases and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Kawsar Ahammad handled 18 cases and collected fines of Tk 3,600 in cash.
The operation was carried out in the presence of the police administration. During the conduct of the court, pedestrians, shopkeepers, traders and buyers were informed about the dangers of the second wave of Corona Virus (Covit-19).
In addition to making everyone aware of wearing masks, it is advised not to harass the masses by setting up shops on the streets of the market. In this time, environment officials, police administration, journalists of different media and many more locals were present.
