The government has announced the names of nine distinguished personalities and one institution for Swadhinata Padak-2021 for their remarkable contributions at the national level.
Cabinet Division issued a press release on Sunday announcing the names of the recipients, reports BSS.
They are AKM Bazlur Rahman (posthumous), martyred Ahsanullah Master (posthumous), valiant freedom fighter Brigadier General Khurshid Uddin Ahmed (posthumous) and Akhteruzzaman Chowdhury Babu (posthumous) in Independence and the Liberation War, Dr Mrinmoy Guha Niogi in science and technology, Mahadev Saha in literature, Ataur Rahman and Gazi Mazharul Anwar in culture, Professor Dr M Amzad Hossain in social services and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council in research and training.
